E Eric Guirard Injury Lawyers established the Clean E Team, a community-wide clean up initiative to help pick up trash along major roadways in Baton Rouge, La. Launched on May 6, 2004, the Clean E Team has helped improve and maintain the appearance of 28 locations throughout Baton Rouge and the surrounding area by picking up, sweeping, and raking trash that includes fast food bags, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, cups, and cans.

Safe and Sober Safe Ride Home

Launched in Alameda, Ca., on St. Patrick's Day 2004, Berg Injury Lawyers Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program seeks to raise community awareness of the dangers of drunk driving and to encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative on many of the traditionally high-alcohol consumption holidays.

Grinders for Heroes

Carter Mario Injury Lawyers, based in Hartford, Conn., honored members of the Hartford Police Department and Hartford Fire Department by cosponsoring "Grinders for Heroes"-a free lunch event. Police officers and fire department personnel were eligible to eat lunch, free of charge, simply by presenting their badges at a local Italian restaurant, which also sponsored the event.

Annual UCP Golf Tournament

Schmidt Kramer, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based law firm, sponsors the Annual United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) Golf Tournament. During the past 19 years, the tournament has raised more than $335,000 for UCP of Central Pennsylvania-which, for the past 50 years, has been providing program services to diverse groups of people, not just those with cerebral palsy.

Hope Blooms

In 2006, the Rocky Mount, N.C.-based law office of HensonFuerst created Hope Blooms, a community-based garden program to promote and provide awareness regarding cancer research and survivorship as well as to aid in the fight to eradicate cancer. For every $10 donation, a daffodil pot is planted in the garden in memory or honor of individuals who have been affected by cancer. The Hope Blooms Garden is a living symbol of hope and faith.

Power Lunch

As Western North Carolina slowly regained its footing following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Frances and Ivan, Asheville-based law firm Grimes & Teich helped honor the employees of Progress Energy with a special recognition, "Power Lunch." Grimes & Teich bought lunch for all Progress Energy employees involved in storm response. This also served as a time for local citizens to share in thanking the men and women who worked tirelessly in terrible conditions to restore power to the community.
