Director of Information Technology

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study
Minimum 10 years experience in IT, plus five years of network and systems administration within a multi-user organization
Strong vision and design skills, specifically network, data center and desktop
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex IT concepts to non-IT professionals
Ability to demonstrate an aptitude of understanding in the integration of technology with business process needs
This is a hands-on position that will require strong skills in networking, Windows operating systems, Linux server technology, PBX systems management and maintenance, and desktop support. The ideal applicant will combine these hands-on skills with strong leadership that will encompass the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance of existing systems, including data center, network systems, active directory, and PBX system
Development and implementation of structured methodologies for all IT operations
Implementation of systems to ensure 99.999% uptime ("The Five Nines")
Design and implementation of system redundancy and disaster recovery plans
Manage, secure, and maintain internet firewall with VPN and two internal links
Management and maintenance of all licensing requirements, security, updates, configuration, and backup
Manage and maintain all desktop systems
Management and development of a strong, flexible, and multi-talented IT team
Manage the IT budget and oversight of all IT spending
Act as primary contact for all vendors, suppliers, and customers with regards to anything IT related
Provide consultation to Senior Management and interdepartmental communication about all IT matters
Research, purchase, and implementation of new servers, network equipment as well as a new phone system, which will be integrated with current systems and software
Manage email for clients; add/remove accounts and troubleshoot problems
Manage client internet domains; coordinate transfers, manage DNS
