DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Print Services, the Direct Mail Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing and managing client specific comprehensive Direct Mail programs.
The DMS will maintain, build and strengthen client prospect base and direct mail response through the testing of unique marketing strategies for personal injury lawyer audiences.
Position requires experience in generating go-to-market direct mail campaigns to allow educated recommendations to senior management regarding marketing and business policies related to database marketing and list management.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years hands-on technical experience and project coordination experience to help support marketing clients with weekly/monthly direct mail campaigns
- Technical experience, including relational database experience (USPS CASS), Direct Mail Campaign Management software, and primary MS Office tools
- Project management experience to resolve specification requirements, assist in creating/maintaining monthly schedules, campaign administration requirements, quality assurance checks
- Knowledge of direct marketing metrics, response and analysis
- Knowledge of database marketing principles, techniques and process
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage administrative processes, production and list segmentation of the direct mail lists, from creating and editing lists to mail house delivery.
- Lead client campaign development process: Work with Print Director and Brand Managers to determine best means to develop multi-channel campaigns and target criteria to reach the embedded base audience. Manage flow of information to provide consistent data reporting systems to client management.
- Ensure that mailings are in line with industry best in class. Conduct analysis and develop reports as needed to strategize and create ways to increase return numbers.
- Proactively identify and communicate project schedules and keep projects within budget. Develop and write list specifications to reflect marketing objectives.
- Maintain biographical and coding data for clients and ensure appropriate entry of pertinent activity and biographical information. Create appropriate tracking capabilities to develop reporting and analysis.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, quality control and postal services that are involved with the mailings. Serve as liaison with vendors who manage print and mail processes. Coordinate product delivery to mail house.
- Remain technically abreast of changes, advancements and improvements within the Direct Mail industry, specifically print production, USPS and logistics.
- Manage direct marketing results reporting. Progress will be tracked, monitored and reported in accordance with the marketing plan for each individual client.
- Act as an information resource by being responsible for acquiring and disseminating technical expertise, as well as policy and procedural knowledge.
- Must be expert in the use of direct mail address standardization and de-duplication software.
- Participate in the preparation of goal planning, which includes a complete projection of the year's activities and document progress in monthly status reports.
- Perform QA functions on all deliverables. Interface with third-party vendors to ensure the data source is current and accurate. Oversee and manage schedule to ensure deliverables reach intended destination on time.
- Work with Director of Print and other departments to manage project collateral materials and/or other agency mailings as needed.
